Physical Examinations

Routine physical examination is a top priority for keeping your pet healthy and maximizing their lifespan. Physical examinations should be performed yearly for young adults and more often for pediatric pets and older pets. Routine physicals can identify problems early and allow for treatment or cure of diseases that might otherwise become advanced and untreatable. Pets with illnesses should be examined often, according to the doctor's recommendations.

Vaccinations

We provide routine vaccinations for major canine and feline diseases. As part of our gold standard of care, we use Purevax Vaccines for our feline patients! Purevax is clinically proven to nearly nullify the risk of cats developing injection site sarcomas at the site of administration.

Laboratory testing

Our in-house laboratory enables us to provide serum chemistries, viral testing, heartworm testing, urinalysis, parasite testing, and more. We also work with national laboratories for other specialized testing and consultation. Routine lab testing, like routine physical exams, helps to detect and treat problems early to keep your pet healthier and living a longer happier life.

X-rays

On-site x-ray equipment helps us to diagnose internal problems quickly. Additionally, we consult with a board-certified radiologist when needed, who can also perform ultrasound examinations when indicated.

Anesthesia

We utilize the latest anesthetic agents to help ensure the safest possible anesthesia and quick recovery. Your pet's vital signs are monitored continuously by our pet nurse as well as electronic monitoring devices.

Surgery

Our on-board surgery suite allows us to provide a wide variety of routine and other surgeries. However, for some advanced procedures, we may refer you to a traditional hospital or a specialty center.

Dentistry

Our dental services include routine dental cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Microchipping

We offer implantation of permanent microchip identification devices. This can be done at any time during a pet's lifetime during any visit, however we recommend the best time to do this is when your puppy or kitten is being spayed or neutered

Treatment of Illness

It's stressful transporting a sick pet across town to the vet. We specialize in diagnostics and have onboard laboratory and digital x-ray to help get answer right away. We can diagnose and treat many illnesses just as you would at a traditional animal hospital. However, critical cases that require long-term hospitalization, specialized procedures, and/or 24 hour ICU care will be referred to an appropriate traditional hospital, specialty center or emergency clinic.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a non-invasive, non-drug treatment option for treating a variety of acute and chronic inflammatory conditions. It can be used in addition to or in some cases in place of traditional treatment. Visit our Laser Therapy page to learn more

Medications

We carry all common medications on board with us as well as offering online ordering and home delivery of those same medications, as well as others we may not carry. This allows you to easily order refills whenever you need them or order something we don't routinely carry, and those items will be delivered right to your home. (Please visit the Resources/Pharmacy section of this website to view everything we offer.) *Please note that as required by law in order for us to prescribe medication we must have examined your pet within the previous 12 months.

Nutritional Counseling

We provide guidance for your pet's nutritional needs for all stages of life, as well as prescription diets for certain medical conditions.

Basic Behavioral Counseling

We offer advice for puppy training as well as some of the more common behavioral issues. We can recommend trainers or behaviorists for serious aggression or other issues.

Senior Pet Care

Older pets require more frequent check-ups and laboratory monitoring to help keep them healthy and feeling good. We will make specific recommendations for blood tests, x-rays, diet, and medications for your older pet depending on age and condition

Hospice Care & Private In-home Euthanasia

We provide what we call a "Quality of Life" consultation for those patients that need more frequent visits or that need a second opinion on pain management and end of life care in order to help them to be as comfortable as possible. Saying goodbye to your loved one is tough enough without the emotional trip to the vet office beforehand only to have them put to sleep in an unfamiliar place. We'll help guide you in this delicate matter and do our best to provide a peaceful and loving last moment for your fur baby.
